The Alive Faith Network exists to improve the holistic health of African American clergy, congregants, and communities by serving African American pastors in low-resource areas as they cope with the concerns and needs of their congregations.

Our Research Programs
Through a unique partnership between RUSH University Medical Center and a team of local African American clergy, the Alive Faith Network blends wisdom, faith, and scientific knowledge to improve the holistic health of the African American community.

Color Boxes ‭[1]‬

Abundant Living Study
Abundant Living is a church-wide health and wellness program designed to improve health outcomes within African American communities in Chicago. This research study contains two programs: Heart to Heart, which focuses on hypertension, and Money Smart, which focuses on financial wellness.

Keep It Movin' Study
Keep It Movin’ is a church-based health intervention designed to improve physical health outcomes, including mobility, chronic illness, and overall life expectancy for African American communities. This program focuses on increasing daily physical activity through safe and effective strength training and regular walking exercises.
